Environment Protection is everyone's duty
Recently, global warming is in the news and the public is asked to cut down on fossil fuel usage to reduce CO2 emissions. I think it is a good idea to protect our environment regardless of the reason whether global warming or not. These are two different issues. We are given stewardship of the Earth and it is our duty and responsibility to take care of it. That includes the animals, the plants and the resources. We should respect nature and harness it for our benefits but not abuse that priviledge.

Some simple things we can do...
- Recycle paper, plastic, cans and bottles.
- Plant a tree in your neighborhood.
- Purchase efficient appliances such as refrigerators and air conditioners. This will reduce your electric consumption and save money.
- Replace old windows and add insulation to your house to reduce heating.
- Next time you replace your car, consider buying a hybrid model with higher fuel efficiency.
