Eoin Colfer (pronounced Owen Colfer) was born in Wexford on the South-East coast of Ireland in 1965. He and his four brothers were brought up by his mum and dad, who were both teachers.
Eoin used to write many short stories and plays based on the things he learnt during school at a very young age.
After graduating from Dublin University with a degree, Eoin became a primary school teacher and also started to write books including 'Benny and Omar'.
Following the publishing of 'Artemis Fowl', a huge worldwide success, Eoin was able to leave his teaching post and devote his efforts fully into writing.
He married in 1991 and spent around 4 years working in different countries, gaining ideas and inspiration for his books along the way.
The Books -
Eoin Colfer's book are primariry aimed at teens but people of all ages willappreciate his incredible imagination. Each book, especially the Artemis Fowl books and the Supernaturalist is full of witty characters, deep plots and vibrant environments. His words paint pictures in your mind that keep you wrapped up in the story, making you want to read on and on.
The first book I read by Eoin Colfer was 'the Wish List'. I stumbled upon it accidentally in my local Tesco's. How glad I am that I did. Although looking back at the book, it's not really in the same league as Eoin's later works such as Artemis Fowl and The Supernaturalist, it is after all intended for younger readers.

Then, angry and alone, Meg found herself committing acts of petty crime with dim-witted hood Belch Brennan. Finally, just as she was about to go straight to honor her sainted mum's memory, Belch went and got them both killed as they attempted to rob crabby old Lowrie McCall. Hello people, I'm new to all this :) I did start out wanting to make a blog but then I found this site so I'm giving it a try. The main reason I'm doing it is to see if I can make money with because I'm close to failing college so Universite might not be an option so I need to look at different ways to generate income. Anyways I hope you like my lenses, sorry if they don't seem all that at the moment but as I said I am very new to this but I'll do by best to make them interesting.
