How to be Happy

Just happy running around the park.

Some time ago a good friend gave me a book, The Consolations of Philosophy by Alain de Botton, in it there was a piece about Epicurus, a greek philosopher who proclaimed (already over 2000 years ago) that it isn't money which makes us happy. Epicurus said there are 4 things which make us happy: Friends, Freedom, Time for Reflection and the Basics.

This lens in development. In the meantime, take a look at this stuff about Epicurus, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epicurus

4 Things Needed for a Happy Life

Freedom, Friends, Time for Reflection and the Basics

The basics are stuff like place to live and food. You might notice that money isn't included, money isn't really that important when it comes to happiness.

Anticipation. Seems to me today, that a feeling of anticipation of coming events, coming meetings or trips gives me a feeling of happiness. Somehow that feeling of anticipation is lacking and it's cold and cloudy outside today.

Well, must rush, more details in preparation!
