What is EPOS?

EPOS stands for 'Electronic Point Of Sale'. It's a term to describe modern-day computerised till systems.
Old cash registers (both mechanical and electronic) have been superceeded by EPOS. An 'EPOS System' refers to the whole system surrounding the retailing process; the hardware, software, proceedures and so on.
