- If it was that simple (just a system variable, I wonder why I didn't solve it before. Thank you very much for a good initiative, to share this knowledge with others.
It is now working without problems - perfect :o)

- For some reason the file on http://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost didn't work for me. So I downloaded it from http://ghostscript.com/releases/ (all the way to the bottom). That one worked like a charm.

- It works for me on a WinXP SP3. No need to copy Ghostscript binaries to GIMP directory. Thanks for sharing :-)
However, in my case the quality of the image rendered is kind of low, specially colors, nothing to do with the original :-(

- To get this to work on a Windows XP machine i had to add more steps:
go to the actual Ghostscript EXE files in it's BIN directory. Drag and drop them into
GIMP's BIN directory. Reopen GIMP and done.

if it doesn't work right away and you did everything right, try to close and reload the GIMP with the new commands. it should do the final trick.

- Error starting Ghostscript. Make sure that Ghostscript is installed and - if necessary - use the environment variable GS_PROG to tell GIMP about its location.
(Failed to execute child process (No such file or directory))
