My First Encounters with Eric Robert

I never thought I would write a lens about a spiritual topic - but what better way to reflect on the profound changes in my life over the past three years?

The first influence that Eric Robert had on my life was indirect and it left me in a state of perplexed PUZZLEMENT . . . .

So what WAS My Husband Up to on Wednesday Nights?

My husband started going out on Wednesday evenings and coming home VERY late. . . . . . .

LadyPerplexed

My next door neighbor must have noticed his car pull in at 3 a.m. a number of times. . . . . .

After several weeks running, she finally confided to me her CONCERN on my behalf.

Curiouser and curiouser . . . .

Another notable effect was in my husband's behavior. He became lighter and happier than I had ever known him to be.

After 30 years of marriage, this was a significant change.

As long term partners, we had our routine trouble spots. The snags that he and I would sometimes get into, became less prickly, more easily resolved and let go of.

A Casual Affair Really

My husband told me a little about his Wednesday night adventures. It was simply a group of people, having a discussion. The group was lead by a man named Eric Robert. My husband encouraged me to come and try it myself.

I attempted to reassure my next door neighbor with this information. Although she still looked at me in a skeptical way.

Although I felt his Wednesday night "sorties" to be innocent - I could not help but wonder how an activity which sounded so ordinary could have such transformative power.

Behind the Scenes

group photos
I had yet to meet the man behind the magic.

I waited several more weeks. Sensing a power in this, some part of me wanted to hold it at bay for a while longer. I sensed that meeting Eric Robert would disrupt the settled and familiar routines of my life.

But I began to have a sense that he was present behind the scenes, in some dimension other than the one I knew in my every day life.

Hummingbird Energy

So there I was on my first WEDNESDAY night, nervous, yet with a feeling of coming home.

One thing that stands out in my memory from that first session with Eric was the' humming bird energy' which pervaded the room.

Eric was making fluttering movements with his hands. Was this the way by which he was inviting this high vibration energy in??

What would you like help with?

He is a catalyst . . . a divine can opener . . . a lightning rod for a higher energy. This is not nebulous or airy fairy; it is tangible.

You don't have to 'do' anything. However if you ask for help in any area at all, his attention and energy go directly to you.

No plea for help goes unheard whether it be a need for emotional support, or physical healing.

A session with Eric is a place to try things out. A place to bring up any question, issue, pain or complaint.

Your familiar ways of feeling and viewing the world may be challenged. You will receive his healing energy if you are open to this. Without a doubt, you will be loved and supported.

Are You Willing to Take a Leap?

In a session with Eric Robert, you can ask for help or not. It is completely up to you.

For me it can be like an experience of jumping off a high dive for the first time. Weak at the knees . . . fearing I will do a tremendous belly flop.

Every time I have asked for help, or seen someone else ask for help, Eric has been there to cushion the fall. He is not there to take responsibility for or do the the work FOR anyone. But to support our courage in facing up to ourselves.

This focused energy from Eric can throw light on any imbalance and create a new pathway for change. It has the effect of loosening layers of habits, and attitudes.

The experience can be unsettling and exhilerating - a leap from the familiar, not knowing quite how you will land.

The Door is Always Open

So sometimes as a result of working with Eric- I see the ordinary assumptions and limitations I place upon myself to be something like a cage.

A cozy familiar one to be sure, but a cage none - the -less. I also see that no key is needed to venture beyond the confines of my cage, because the door is always open.

Healing

Watch love work in action

With many problems Eric seems to look at the person and see it energetically inside or just around the periphery of their bodies. He becomes utterly still and focused as a laser beam. He appears to zoom in on the condition or imbalance, meet it and be present with it.

He holds his focus until he sees the imbalance start to shift, let go, and or begin to correct. There is something about this very organic process that releases the pattern that is in place that is not serving the person. The energy he is directing is pure unconditional Love.

With the Aid of Modern Technology, We Release our Pent Up Rage

All the layers of frustration and anger of all sorts is stored in our bodies. This is one reason for muscular tension and the pain experienced when receiving a deep tissue massage.

Eric encouraged us to find ways to release stored up anger. So a few of us found a setting for a safe but sustained release of rage.

ComputerBat

The victims of our wrath were worn out computers, towers and printers and one old copy machine. The weapons were provided - an ax and a baseball bat. Wearing goggles to shield our eyes from flying glass, we each had a turn to attack the defenseless equipment.

Rage Unleased

Although the computers looked the worse for wear - WE felt ever so much better.

Not that there is any particular virtue in smashing computers. And to be fair - this particular computer had ever done anything vindictive to me.

But an opportunity to let out what anger is stored in our bodies so directly and openly can have a rejuvenating effect to say the least. It also reduces the chance that long held anger or resentments, will seep out indirectly, having a poisonous effect on our relationships with others or with ourselves.

Meditation

Meditation lead by Eric Robert -
as experienced and written by Laura Yee . . . . . .

"I'm going to tell you about my day. I was many different animals and I morphed into one after another in different mediums ...meaning sky, water, earth, air.

And I traveled at tremendous speeds up into the atmosphere and out into space where I twirled around like a bunch of lights the size of dust particles.

moon copy 3
I was my own roller coaster and I picked up speed and felt myself spread but I never came apart. I didn't have any hair or any body for that matter. Just gold dust. And when I came back to earth I manifested as a white beam of light that was almost silver which thickened...eventually twisting into coils and then ropes and finally my physical being.

. . . . I felt beautiful . . . . I am beautiful . . . . I am happy and free."

Texts in the Night

I sometimes hear my cell phone beep in the middle of the night when Eric is particularly active with the healing work he does with people around the globe. Sometimes he sends out text messages to his friends, in these early hours. Here is one that was memorable for me.

"You must realize and hold firmly to an understanding that the mind has no power of its own. The mind either integrates or projects from experience, or else it develops a logical matrix to serve, explain, and implement the powers of the Heart and soul. Serious problems can arise when the Heart is negatively oriented in some way toward life, because when the Heart gives the mind a negative impulse such as insufficiency, insecurity, fear, or anger, the mind then responds with what appears to be logic, but it is in reverse order to the Good of Life. Hey Ann,

I like this. You've really captured how Eric's support is available to all.
(For anyone else reading I am Ann's ex-husband, who was out late at the Wednesday group.)

For anyone out there who needs help:
It is up to you to ask. Come see Eric if you can. If you want help don't let anything hold you back. Hold his image in your mind ask for a connection and for support, or do whatever else works for you. There is no need for any more despair.

Love,
Charles
