There are many different errors in processing and striking. Blank planchets, clipped, off center, double strike, and broadstrikes make up the majority of known errors in minting coins. Prices of error coins vary considerably, and are based on denomination, date (if the date is visible), how significant the error, error type, and how scarce the error is.
