A Painting a Day
What is a Painting a Day?
- A Painting a Day
- This blog is my main blog for connecting with the viewer, and it's where I showcase 6"x6" and 8"x10" Acrylic paintings at a very very reasonable price. I hope that people will become interested in art by purchasing these little jewels first, and then possibly going on to the next level by becoming interested in the larger more grand paintings.

GIVE ME, GIVE ME, GIVE ME!
This painting conjures up images of my dearly beloved pets. Frida, my English Bulldog is 6 years old, and Lulu, my Chihuahua is one year old. They are both an inspiration to my art. Everytime I go down to my studio I take Lulu in my arms and Frida simply follows me from behind. I put Lulu in her teepee bed and place her on the drafting table next to mine. She stays there for the rest of the night without whimpering or complaining. She simply loves to be included in my artistic endeavor.
Frida is a little more independent. She'll stay downstairs with me for awhile, and then if she doesn't like it anymore she takes off to the livingroom. Frida has more of an independent spirit than Lulu.
They are both extremely entertaining.
"Attached"
ATTACHED is a very special painting because it depicts my soulish self attached to my face. What do I mean by the soul? We are made up of a soul (all of our mundane passions and desires), and a Spirit. No, it is not the Holy Spirit. So we walk through our lives with these two things that are literally in us and that when we die will go to heaven or hell. That's it. Our bodies decay, but our soul and spirit do not die!
Now what we do with the soul and spirit within us depends on how we lead our lives. If we only cater to mundane carnal issues, and we don't feed our spiritual side, our soul will be one big, fat rolly polly and sassy entity. If we are born again (we accept Jesus Christ into our hearts), and we begin to live a more Godly life, our Spirit will begin to get larger, larger, larger, and larger until our Soul becomes this itsy, bitsy little entity.
So for now this painting depicts our soul, which is attached to the front of this human's forehead.
I find as a human being with lots of defects I am constantly in a struggle to make my beautiful Spirit larger, and to placate the soul. It is a never ending struggle.
Art is a Hidden Delight
Fine Art has been neglected for too long. It's time to expose it to the masses. This is what A Painting a Day is all about. Instead of having to go to a gallery, you can visit the artist's site and purchase small little jewels of their work.
I really think that thanks to our wonderful blogs and auction and art sites, the public is now able to contemplate purchasing or simply viewing wonderful art.
