ESEE Izula Knife
The ESEE Izula knife is one of the best small survival knives I have ever found. This knife is built bare bones--even the handle is skeletonized. You can purchase a small kit that has handle scales if you prefer this--I like mine stripped down. This lightweight survival knife is built so you can carry it on a belt, in a pocket, around your neck, or pretty much stashed anywhere you want. It fits nicely in any size pack and is big enough to get most jobs done. The entire knife is made of 1095 steel. This means two things. First, it will rust. Second, it is extremely easy to sharpen and will keep a good edge. This is important when you are out in the real world. After a while, you knife will dull--you can field sharpen this great little knife without much hassle. If I could only take one knife out on a camping trip--I am pretty sure the ESEE Izula would be in my pack.

“I love my ESEE Junglas!”
ESEE Junglas
I purchased the ESEE Junglas a couple of weeks ago. This is a perfect machete/survival tool. The weight on this knife is fairly light, at just about 1.5 pounds, the knife is easy enough to pack on the outside of my backpack and it also can strap onto my belt or hang from a shoulder strap. I like it best on the back of my pack. The Junglas can cut! It is sharp and with the weight of the knife you can chop some pretty good wood fairly fast. I think this is one of my favorite tools from ESEE--great for long survival type camping trips and great around the yard to make quick work of any suckers on trees, or heck, even to get rid of some small trees if that's what you want to do.
