Essential Oils in Hair Care
Wouldn't it be nice to wash your hair and skin with something natural and not with something that is full of chemicals? Why would you want to poison yourself with chemicals in shampoos that have mild to moderate toxicity ratings by the EPA? Wouldn't it make more sense to use something that could actually promote the health of your hair and scalp without harming you in the long run?
Have you ever considered using essential oils on your hair to bring back its luster?
For the treatment of dry hair jojoba and coconut oil can give your dry hair the shine it desperately needs. These essential oils can put the oil back into your hair that the sun and needless exposure to other chemical take away. You can also use it as a natural detangler before shampooing. If you suffer from dandruff don't use a product that is full of chemicals that probably caused the dandruff in the first place. Try an essential oil treatment. Rosemary oil and tea tree oil has been proven to be very useful in the treatment of dandruff.
If your hair is oily and you are concerned don't use shampoos that strip your hair of the oil with severe chemicals! There are several essential oils that have been shown very effective in the treatment of oily hair. A few of these essential oils are basil, lemon, patchouli, and ylang-ylang.
Concerned that you have oily hair, but also dandruff? Don't worry there are even essential oils that treat both simultaneously. Ylang-ylang, tea tree, lemon, and rosemary can work on both problems at the same time.
If you want to bring out the golden highlights in your hair there is no need to spend a lot of time and money at some expensive salon. Chamomile and lemon can naturally lighten dark hair and bring out natural highlights in lighter hair.
If you want to promote the growth of your hair there are even essential oils that can do this for you naturally. Peppermint and basil have actually been show to do exactly that.
Stop trying to make your hair look attractive by using chemicals. Try an alternative that is safe for your skin, hair, and your body. Use essential oils to give your hair the natural care it deserves.
