Holistic Essential Oils and Digestive Disorders

Copaiba is a powerful essential oil from the Rainforest in South America that has traditionally been used to aid digestion and support the body's natural response to injury or irritation. Copaiba contains the highest amounts of beta caryophyllene (55 percent) of any known essential oil.

Between 80 and 90 percent of both duodenal and gastric ulcers are caused by a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori. I'd like to recommend two specific oils because of their effectiveness against bacteria. First Lemongrass was found effective in a Japanese study against H. pylori bacteria. But commercial antibacteria drugs developed resistance, while there was no resistance to lemongrass oil. As you know smells and scents play a role in digestion. What scent makes your mouth water?

Another study at Georgetown University Medical Center found that Oregano oil could kill H pylori, Stapylococcus areus and E. Coli.

Of course, if you want to get therapeutic effects from essential oils, you should use only untainted therapeutic quality essentials. I recommend using only Young Living Essential oils. Even for difficult digestive disorders such as IBS we need to support and soothe the digestive tract. Often inflammation is involved. Ingestion is the best way to deliver these oils for this purpose. You just need to get gel caps and fill them with essential oils.

By the way many people are loyal users of herbs - just know that herbs are the DRIED plant and many of the essential oils are about 100 times less potent after drying than using the actual the essential oil! Essential oils are similar to the blood of the plant. They are very powerful and only a drop is needed to be highly effective if the oil is used.
