Authentic essential oils come in a dark bottle with different range of prices and are available in a variety of fragrances. They can be pleasant in fragrance or as a medicine. Besides, there are many that do not smell at all. More often than not, essential oils are sold with common scientific names, so the source of plant can be identified very easily. Essential oils are also used for aromatherapy. Aromatherapy was fathered by Rene Maurice Gattefosse, in the early 1990's.Some of the essential oils commonly used for horses are as follows:
* Sweet Basil: It is considered effective for pulmonary, emotional and muscular issues.
* Roman Chamomile: It is suitable for muscular, emotional and wound related issues.
* Cypress: It is good for issues related to cardiovascular, muscular and as an insect repellant too.
* Eucalyptus: Eucalyptus is considered to be good for pulmonary, muscular and wound related issues.
* Lavender: It is suitable for wounds, emotional, cardiovascular and muscular issues.
* Tea tree: It is considered to be authentic for pulmonary, itching, wound and as an insect repellant.
* Lemon Eucalyptus: Lemon eucalyptus is considered to very effective for muscular, emotional and as an insect repellant.
Essential Oil Blends for Horses
There are many oils that can be blended together to get fast and better results. It is easy to combine oils for horses. You can use the fixed oils to dilute the oils, so that they last longer. Apart from this, you can make misters by mixing oil with water and alcohol.Some of the blends of oil can be used for various problems related to horses. They are as follows:
* Inflammation and skin allergies: A blend of 50 drops of lavender, chamomile and geranium along with 2 oz of Hazelnut, Pecan or Fractionated coconut oil. Shake it, cap and label. Then pour the blend of oils onto your palm and apply, depending on the suitability.
* Poor Circulation and congestion: In case your horse is suffering from poor circulation and congestion, then mix 100 drops of cypress, 75 drops of lavender along with 2 oz of Hazelnut, Pecan or Fractionated coconut oil. Then pour it on to your arm and rub in after shaking, capping and labeling it.
* Joint pains, stiffness and lameness: Mix 100 drops of juniper, 50 drops of lavender and 50 drops of chamomile, with 2 oz of Hazelnut, Pecan, or Fractionated Coconut Oil. Then shake it, cap and label it properly. It will relieve your horse from joint pains and stiffness.
