These are the first rockets I have purchased as an adult (I had one as a kid.....over 25 years ago), and I love them. This kit was nice for 2 reasons - it came with its own launcher, and there are 2 different levels of rockets to build. The taller "Amazon" rocket was much easier to build and took me around an hour or so to build (with the help of my 5 year old). The smaller one took a bit longer (plus the time needed to wait for the paint to dry).

This rocket really flies high, as its name suggests. I bought it for my 6 year old son, and he and I put it together (okay, mostly me). We painted it like the picture, and it looks great. I used a silver sharpie to color the silver triangles on the fins, and that worked well. I'm not sure I have the fins on straight, however, since it seems to have a spin, but it goes straight up and very high, making for an exciting launch.

All in all, a great reference that any model rocket enthusiast will want to cherish forever. I also find that this book is great in terms of further inspiring young rocketeers, like myself, to persue a career in the field of rocketry and aerospace. It sure has for me!
