Ethics and Faith Based Investments - Islamic Finance

Most research proves that ethics based investment is not only better and more responsible towards the society but also has less risk. The returns are also better than the conventional. Through this the investor promotes ethical, environment friendly and socially responsible business practices which are more sustainable. Many religions like Islam, Christianity, Jainism also discourage practices like animal killing, dealing in liquor etc. Due to such reasons many people have remained away from the share markets. With this principle we aim at inclusion of all sections of society including not only the faith based investors but also the socially responsible. Recently we have seen that Shariah based investment and banking has become popular and grown rapidly from countries like Malaysia and Middle East to USA, Europe and Australia. India already has two benchmark Shariah Indices - S&P Nifty Shariah and BSE TASIS Shariah 50. Shariah screening being the most stringent one, eliminates most noncompliant companies based on ethics and faith.
