Ethical Brand (International) is an entirely independent and privately sponsored initiative founded in the UK in 2003 and now headquartered in Australia. We assist brands that are genuinely committed to 'doing the right thing' to secure the competitive advantages they deserve.
The core focus of our activities revolve around licensing qualifying companies, organisations and individuals to use the Ethical Brand Identity® so that their products and services are instantly recognised as 'the right choice' in any industry or geographic location on the planet. We set out to make a real difference by developing the most authentic model for validating so-called ethical brands so that doing the right thing becomes a simple and easy matter of choosing the product or service that is obviously right. It took 5 years of painstaking research, development and market testing to architect our proprietary system, but since launching online in late 2008 we have attracted a following in Australia, Europe, Asia, North America and South Africa.
That is partly because we don't sell licenses to use the Ethical Brand Identity® but give them away to qualifying entities, but mostly due to the fact that our approach respects this fundamental imperative: being an authentic ethical brand must add up to a commercial opportunity that also happens to deliver social and environmental benefits.
