Etsy and Google Base (Let's Ets)
I already had a Googlebase account set up when these print screens and instructions were done. If you are setting everything up for the first time, they may be slightly different or in a different order, but should be close enough for you to follow.
If you have not yet registered your Google account and set up your Google Base settings, return to my Etsy and Google Base lens first.
Preparing Data Feed File from Etsy Listings
Complete the Google base formatter section on the left (not the Custom Etsy search on the right).
1. Enter your Etsy username or ID number.
2. Click on "Fetch My Items".

Scroll way down to the bottom of the page, the end of your listings.
At this time only the 100 latest items in your shop will be added. They are currently working on a way to lift this cap without stressing Etsy's servers, so stay tuned.
Note: be sure all the items load on the page BEFORE you click the Download Bulk File button. I have high speed cable and it still takes a minute or so for everything to load on the page.
Click on "Download Bulk File".

Click on "Save".

Save this file to your computer. i.e. I save mine in my GoogleBase folder.
Click on "Save".

Note: This is the data file that you will be uploading to GoogleBase later.
Important Update
Removal of USD from your XML file
To fix this problem, just open your xml file in an HTML editing file (I use Cute FTP Pro) or a regular text file such as Word or Notepad.
I find most people have Notepad, so will use that for the following instructions. Depending on what you use as a text editor, instructions may vary slightly.
- Open your xml file using Notepad
- Click on "Edit" and select "Replace"
- Under the 'Find what', enter "USD"
- Leave 'Replace with' blank
- Click on "Replace All" and you will see it working through the file
- When finished, close the "Replace" box
- Save the file
- Upload this file to Googlebase
Register your Data Feed

Be sure you are on the Data feeds page, if not, click on the "Data feeds" link.
Click on the "New Data Feed" button.

1. Select target country. If it is not already there (from your information entered in Settings), select it from the drop down menu.
2. Select "Products" and "googlebase" from the drop down menu for item type.
3. Enter your data feed file name. This is the file that you saved from the Let'sets website.
Click on "Register data feed".
Upload your Data Feed
Click on Manual "upload file" link.

Click on "Browse" and locate your data feed file on your computer.
Then click on "Upload and process this file".
You're Finished!
Once your file has been uploaded, you'll see notification on your screen if the upload was a success.
Your Etsy items will start showing up in Google's search results.
The status of any feed can be found on your Data feeds tab. It can take up to 24 hours for your file details to be updated in your account.
Upload Monthly
Listings expire on Google Base every 30 days!
And if you list a lot of new items, go through this process again (before the 30 days)
