Etsy and Google Base (Shop Feeds)
Etsy's instructions in the article is for a SCHEDULED upload. My instructions below are for a manual upload and are completely different. Do not confuse the two.
I set up a new Googlebase account to use with my new second Etsy Shop when these print screens and instructions were done. If you are already set up, they may be slightly different or in a different order, but should be close enough for you to follow.
If you have not yet registered your Google account and set up your Google Base settings, return to my Etsy and Google Base lens first.
What is a Shop Feed?
A shop feed, also known as RSS feed, XML feed, syndicated content, or web feed, is frequently updated content published by a website. It is usually used for news and blog websites, but can also be used for distributing other types of content, such as promoting our listings on Google Product Search (what we are going to do here) or using a RSS module on a Squidoo lens!
For more information on RSS feeds, refer to Wikipedia.
Preparing Data File from Etsy Listings
Save Shop Feeds
Click on "File" and "Save As".

Select the folder to save this file on your computer, I set up a GoogleBase-Etsy folder for mine.

But first, notice that "Etsy Shop for badassbeltbuckles" was automatically entered in the file name, I removed the "Etsy Shop for" and left "badassbeltbuckles" (see print screen below), as this is what I want for my file name and it is not good practice to have spaces in file names!

Now, click on "Save".
Register your Data Feed

Be sure you are on the Data feeds page, if not, click on the "Data feeds" link.
Click on the "New Data Feed" button.

1. Select target country. If it is not already there (from your information entered in Settings), select it from the drop down menu.
2. Select "Products" and "googlebase" from the drop down menu for item type.
3. Enter your data feed file name. This is the file that you saved from the Etsy shop feeds.
Click on "Register data feed".
Upload your Data Feed
Click on Manual "upload file" link.

Click on "Browse" and locate your data feed file on your computer (for me, the file I am looking for is badassbeltbuckles.xml)
Then click on "Upload and process this file".
You're Finished
Once your file has been uploaded, you'll see notification on your screen if the upload was a success.
The status of any feed can be found on your Data feeds tab. It can take up to 24 hours for your file details to be updated in your account.
When they do, if you click on "My items", you will see your active items (as below)

Your Etsy items will start showing up in Google's search results soon!
Upload Monthly
Listings expire on Google Base every 30 days!
And if you list a lot of new items, go through this process again (before the 30 days)
Hints and Tips
