Etsy Module Help and How to Use RSS

 

This lens will show you how to locate and complete the Etsy module, as well as how to use the RSS feeds for your Etsy Shop.

How to find the Etsy Module 

Click on the yellow "Add Modules" button at the top of your page.

Click on the "Search (A-Z)" Tab



You can either:

1 - Enter "Etsy" in the search by module box; or

2 - Click on the "E" to Browse alphabetically

#1 - Adding the Module 

If you did Step#1 this is the screen you will see.



Click on the "Add" link for as many times as you want modules.

Beside "You've Added:" you will see how many modules you added.

When finished, click on "Save"

#2 - Adding the Module 

If you did Step#2 this is the screen you will see.



Click on the "Add" link beside "Etsy" for as many times as you want modules.

Beside "You've Added:" you will see how many modules you added.

When finished, click on "Save"

Completing the Etsy Module (All Items) 

Locate the module on your lens page and click the orange "Edit" button, this will open up the module.



1. Complete the Module title, you can also complete the additional subtitle and module description if you choose

2. From your Shop URL, enter your Shop ID number (just the number, not the entire URL).

Our Etsy Shop URL is http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5195554, so I will enter 5195554

3. Select the number of items you would like to show.

4. Click on the "Go" button

Don't forget to click on the orange "Save" button to save the module.

Completing the Etsy Module (Shop Sections) 

Locate the module on your lens page and click the orange "Edit" button, this will open up the module.



1. Complete the Module title, you can also complete the additional subtitle and module description if you choose

2. From your Shop URL, enter your Shop ID number (just the number, not the entire URL).

Our Etsy Shop URL is http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5195554, so I will enter 5195554

3. Select the number of items you would like to show.

4. From your Shop Section's URL, enter the Section number of your shop (just the number, not the entire URL).

The URL of our Handgun Belt Buckles in our Etsy Shop is http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5195554&section_id=5117131, so I will enter 5117131

5. Click on the "Go" button

Don't forget to click on the orange "Save" button to save the module.

How to find the RSS Module 

Click on the yellow "Add Modules" button at the top of your page.

Click on the "Starter Package" Tab



Click on the "Add" link beside the "RSS: Add Your Own Feed" for as many times as you want modules.

Beside "You've Added:" you will see how many modules you added.

When finished, click on "Save"

How to Complete the RSS Module 

Locate the module on your lens page and click the orange "Edit" button, this will open up the module.

Locate the RSS URL from your Shop (it's right under the page tools on the right side of the page).



You can either click on the little RSS button and copy the URL from the page that opens, or just put your cursor over the RSS button and right click, then "copy shortcut".



1. Enter a Module Title (A few of my Etsy Shop Items). You can also complete the subtitle and description if you would like.

2. Enter your RSS URL

The RSS URL for our shop is http://www.etsy.com/rss_shop.php?user_id=5195554

3. Enter a number for the number of listings you would like to show. I usually use 10 to 20.

4. Change "exerpt" to "exerpt (100 characters), otherwise you just get a one line list. But it is your choice.

I leave the frequency at 1 day.

5. Change the HTML Display from "No" to "Yes"

When finished, click "Save".
