Then the SNS is the place to be on Saturday Nights!
The party starts at 5PM Eastern Time (official Etsy time) and lasts usually until either Midnight or 6AM Sunday, depending on the individual store.

Etsy is a website that provides the general public with a way to buy and sell handmade items as well as vintage items and craft supplies. Handmade items cover a wide range including art, photography, clothing, jewelry, edibles, bath & beauty products, and toys. The site follows in the tradition of open craft fairs, giving sellers personal storefronts where they list their goods for a fee.
It has been compared to "a crafty cross between Amazon and eBay", and to "your grandma's basement".

The Saturday Night Specials (SNS) is a promo thread started by WillowglassBegining at 5PM Eastern Time (US), go to the forums on Etsy, scroll down to the Promotions section, and look for "Willowglass Official SNS Thread". Click on it for PAGES AND PAGES of sales!!
Where can we chat?
A companion thread is located in the ETC section of the forum (at the bottom) for chatting and having fun while the SNS is running!! The sellers who participate in the chat are very welcoming of buyers who have questions or just want to have some fun.
TIPS FOR BUYERS
All shops which are running an SNS will also have their specials for the evening posted on their main shop page, so if you're looking for your favorite, check their shop first.

Want to know a secret?
A "secret" is optional and is when a seller hides a certain item in their shop which is usually free with just the cost of shipping. Seller mentions the terms when they announce their secret. It's another promotional tool because it gets people to look through all of your items if your secret is well hidden and possibly they'll make another purchase. It's fun! Secrets would be posted in the Etc. forum thread.PLEASE - shoppers are only allowed to "take" one secret per week. If you are also a seller, you are expected to offer a secret if you take someone else's.
Secrets that I have gotten (free, just paid shipping): Paintings, ACEOs, soaps, candles, greeting cards, buttons, and baby items.
