Eureka Apex 2XT Tent

Ranked #3,883 in Sports & Recreation, #100,510 overall

Best-selling 2 Person Backpacking Tent

My Eureka tent has seen a lot of hard use, so I went shopping for a new model. When I saw the Eureka Apex 2XT tent, I knew I'd found my new favorite tent. It has enough room for two people -- or for just me and all my gear. I like the mesh wall for ventilation and the bathtub floor to keep water out.

The two things I like the most, though, are the easy set-up and the rain fly. The Eureka Apex uses just two fiberglass poles, so it's quick to set up. And the rain fly has two big vestibules -- one on each side -- so when my gear is wet, I can stash it under the fly instead of pulling it into the tent.

I usually camp alone, but if I ever take someone with me, the Eureka Apex tent will be easy to get in and out of. It has a big door on each side, so campers don't have to climb over each other for those middle-of-the-night calls of nature.

Eureka Tetragon Adventure Tent

Another Top 2 Man Tent from Eureka

Eureka Tetragon AdventureWhen you want headroom and great ventilation in a tent, this is the one to look at. The Eureka Tetragon Adventure two-person tent has plenty of room for two people and is tall enough to sit up comfortably. And with two mesh windows and two vents, the air inside is never stuffy.

This camping tent comes with a gear loft plus two mesh organizing pockets for your small gear. It's constructed with Eureka's usual bathtub floor to keep the water out. I'm amazed at the size of the door, so easy to get in and out. And I really like the subtle green color that blends in with the surroundings.

Eureka Pinnacle Pass Tent

Great choice for a 3 season tent

Eureks Pinnacle Pass trail tentHere's another freestanding tent for two that sets up quickly with two aluminum poles. Ever set up a tent by yourself and have one end of a pole pop out of its connection when you tried to attach the other end? That drives me crazy. The Eureka Pinnacle Pass tent solves that problem with pole sleeves on one end. The sleeve will hold the pole in place while you bend it to attach the opposite end. No more running back and forth!

The Pinnacle Pass has a door on each side for easy access. Both doors have Eureka's patented system that allows venting from the top, bottom, or both so you can customize your air flow. And the twin-track zippers let you have a solid door or a mesh door as you wish. The rain fly coverage is a little sparse for my preference, but the tent has an excellent bathtub floor to keep the water out.

Camping Cooking

Camping food and equipment for cooking in the outdoors

Outdoor Camp CookingCamping itself is great, but the best memories in life seem to center around food, whether at home or in the woods. There's something about the fresh air that makes everything taste so much better. Meal time in camp is an opportunity for everyone to pitch in and work together, sharing tasks and fellowship.

Having the right camp cooking equipment will ensure that those meal time memories are good ones. Think about what you will need for food preparation, cooking, and clean-up; if you are prepared, it will go more smoothly and everyone will be happier. Or maybe you don't want to get too involved in cooking. There are yummy freeze-dried meals that will make filling your tummy a snap.
