This lens is all about collecting the PEZ dispensers made for the European market. Sometimes European dispensers are the same as US ones but in different packaging, and sometimes they are characters made available only to the Europen market.
Shown here, an ET dispenser brought back for me by a friend from Italy.
PEZ on the European Market
No one is sure entirely why there are some PEZ dispensers made just for the European market and some made just for the US market, but it adds another dimension for those who collect them.The packaging and design of European PEZ is different than in the US. Some characters are only marketed in one territory, however the Internet has made it a lot easier to get PEZ from foreign markets.

The Pink Panther and Friends
This set of four comes from the Pink Panther Show, a cartoon I remember from my childhood. It originally ran from 1960-1971 and then was rerun for many years. Famed cartoonist Fritz Freleng was one of the creators of the show. There's the Pink Panther and his nemesis Inspector Clouseau.
The other half of the show was devoted to a cartoon called "The Ant and the Aardvark." The voice of the Ant was an imitation of Dean Martin and the Aardvark's voice was an imitation of Jackie Mason, both voiced by comedian John Byner.

These are fantastic!
They are the "Jungle Mission" PEZ dispensers. Each one is a combination compass, flashlight, magnifying glass PEZ dispenser. They also have backpack clips for easy attachment.
They sort of look like funky Tikis or totem poles.
