    I've watched this programme since it was first broadcast, and I must say it just gets sillier and sillier. The music gets worse, the hype is dreadful, and as for the voting....well I keep saying I'm never going to watch it again, but I always do.

    I used to watch Eurovision song contest a lot when I was a kid. My favorite one is from Umberto Tozzi and oh I guess his name is spelled Gianni Nannini or something like that, anyway it was called "Gente Di Mare" from Italy.... don't ask me what year it was. LOL

    I think Lordi won because all their fans Europe-wide organised and actually watched Eurovision for the first time in their lives, in order to vote. They overwhelmed the traditional middle aged viewer who votes for whichever act looks "nice" or is their geographical neighbour.

    You are probably right, but I think that the song was in fact quite catchy and the performance was amazing. Even my mother phoned to vote for them and it is probably the only song of this genre (hard rock?) that she has ever listened to all the way through.
