Evangelistic fiction as tools

The use of evangelistic fiction as evangelistic tools.
I'm making this page "Evangelistic Fiction as tools " first of all, because it seems that many Christians today lack the vision of using works of fiction as evangelistic tools to reach those loved ones who won't go to church or listen to lectures.*
Fiction can serve as a great ice breaker and open the door to further witness, as I mention in the article from my blog below.
Of course,--who am I kidding-- As an author, I 'm making this page to promote my 2 unique published evangelistic novels, which have really not done too well as yet, but perhaps one reason they haven't is because of what I just mentioned (it's a viscious circle)*
Anyway, I'm making my first novel, "Of Such Is The Kingdom" into an AUDIOBOOK and the launch is this Friday. (See last 2 lines of the description for "Of Such Is The Kingdom" below)

My Writing Process
HOW I CAME TO WRTIE THESE 2 UNIQUE HISTORIC NOVELS:
I began writng in Jr. High School and wrote several short stories as well as articles and poems. Then In Jr.College I wrote a short story about a Biblical character, which won 2nd prize. Later this story became the basis for my Historical, Biblical novel. I added more characters & drew out the plot. I made a list of chapter titles, and then wrote a brief summary of each chapter. From there it was easy to expand the summaries into the complete chapter. I varied the style at various points, adding poems here and there and using straight dialogue in places and even writing in the first person as one of the characters at times (a sort-of-stream-of-consciousness style.) So the style of that particular work became rather eclectic. My 2nd novel was quite different. The idea was suggested to my by a friend and I took it an ran with it. All of the time periods in the novel are my own, which I used for effect and for the lessons they could teach. I played with the style of this novel, trying first to write it in first person as a kind of ship's log, but I found that didn't work too well, so I left it in 3rd person narrative.
MY 2 UNIQUE EVANGELISTIC NOVELS
My evangelistic novels are unique in that they use fiction to point to truth.
HOW GIFTING WORKS:
(From Smashwords.com)
"Click the 'Give as a gift' link from any book page.
Enter the name of your giftee and their e-mail address. Very important you enter the correct e-mail address otherwise they won't receive it. Alternatively, if you would like the gift to be a surprise, enter your own e-mail address. If you're using this option and you want to give the same book to several different people, make sure that you click "Give as a gift" once for each giftee (don't increase the quantity, because then you will be giving multiple copies to one person, which is probably not what you want).
Once you complete the purchase of the gift, we'll send an immediate e-mail to the recipient, providing them instructions on how to redeem the gift (you will get a copy of the e-mail too). If you entered your own e-mail address in step 2, you will get the e-mail and you will need to forward it or print it out and hand deliver it to your recipient. The gift code (contained in the hyperlink in the e-mail) will whoever uses it pick up this gift, so keep it a secret (except from your giftee, of course). The gift e-mail will look like the sample below. Note that we will not share your e-mail address with the giftee, only your name as listed in your Smashwords profile.
When your giftee gets the e-mail, your gift recipient will simply click the hyperlink in the message (which contains the gift code) and their book will become instantly available if they're already registered for Smashwords. If they're not yet a Smashwords member, or they're not logged in to their account, we'll prompt them to join (it's free) or log in. After they register, the book is waiting for them in their Library."
NOTE: You will have to join Smashwords, but that's no big deal (You don't have to be an author. There are benefits for joining as a reader). Just fill out a simple short registration form (When you click on "Give as a gift" it will tell you that you have to logged in and will show the log-in form and immediately below it the registration form. Fill it out and you're registered and you can check out e-books anytime. Some are even free to download. Most range from $0.99 to $7.99.

Is evangelistic fiction really effective, or CAN it be? I tend to think that if Christians caught the vision and gave evangelistic fiction as gifts it just might be effective (See my article on my blog above). But this author takes a negative tack on the issue. Read both of our articles and make up your own mind. Then, please vote in the poll module below, and tell why you think what you think. Thanks
