It Wiggles, It Jiggles, It's Fun for Everyone

It's Downright American

Jell-O (the actual brand) has been around since the 1920s so everyone remembers Jell-O and it features prominantly in many childhood memories. It's even been in popular entertainment from stage musicals like "South Pacific" and blockbuster movies like "GhostBusters II."

Quick Tricks for Jell-O Desserts

Ways to Dress to Impress

The easiest way to dress up Jell-O is to treat it like a sheet cake. Fill a rectangular casserole dish the Jell-O and follow the directions to harden. Cover it with a whipped topping and then decorate. For example, you could use strawberries and blueberries to recreat the American flag, or use gel icing to write someone's name, and so on.
A fun way to make single serving Jell-O desserts is to fill cupcake tins (use liners and non-stick spray) instead of a dish or bowl. Then "frost" each Jell-O "cupcake" with whipped topping, fruit, et cetera.
Of course, you can always fill a mold (it doesn't have to be specifically made for Jell-O) with Jell-O and add your favorite fruit in bite-size pieces
