Everyday Magic - What's It All About?
Chapter One - Magical Boosters explains how you can enhance the power of your spells by carrying them out at the appropriate time. Dorothy Morrison tells us about the sun and moon phases and how energy is increased or decreased depending upon the time of day. She talks about winds, the days of the week, colour, words and symbols and what effect they all can have on your spellwork.
Chapter Two - The Gifts of Nature. Here she explains the value of common herbs and flowers, how to harvest leaves, fruit and bark from trees without damage. She also discusses the power of found stones and easy-to-obtain crystals.
Chapter Three - Modern Tools for Ancient Arts is a revelation. Dorothy recommends such things as a coffee maker, a blender and electric slow-cookers for brewing up potions and spell-recipes. She then goes on to give specific recipes for various purposes - from enhancing your love-life to inviting tranquility into your life.
Chapter Four - Living the Charmed Life is a short chapter which explains how to use magic responsibly.
The second part of the book contains 272 short spells for almost any situation you can imagine. Some are fun, some are more serious. All can be adapted to suit your personal circumstances.
As you work your spells, focus on the problem for a moment, then visualize your preferred outcome. Hold fast to this vision as your work the spell, then once it is done, that's it - let it go. Do not fret or try to assess the results too soon. Sometimes these things work themselves out in the most unexpected ways!

Yes. I love them. I haven't done one in a really long time. I need to get crackin' again.

Yes, quite a few. I bought an electric food chopper and wore it out, lol. The mortar and pestle is good thought to add your own energy to your ingredient.

I tried the whole Wicca thing...but found it to be just another form of organized religion... so a total turn-off... I prefer old style root lore & healing like my Irish ancestors... without all of the ritual & rules

The Money Bath Spell
Give Your Finances a Boost
Put one tablespoon of cinnamon and four tablespoons of parsley (not stated whether fresh or dried so take your pick) in the filter cup of your coffee maker. Use five cups of water and allow to brew.Draw a warm bath and add one cup of the tea. As you pour it into the bath, chant:
Money come from far and near.
Money come to me. Appear!
Completely immerse yourself into the water five times, then soak in the bath for eight minutes. Concentrate on the improvement of your finances (The Ragged Edge says 'stay positive and think as though they have already improved'). Let your body dry naturally.
Take this bath on five consecutive days for best results. Store the tea in a jar with a screw-on lid and keep it in the refrigerator between baths.

- Oh, I love it! I'm getting the book. I have to read it now, and use it of course. If I were an angel I would bless this lens.

- Was it Everyday Magic that led you to bless my lens on Squidoo's Summer Sunshine Award Nominees? I sure appreciate it whether it was magic or not. It sure felt magical and is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

- I don't have this book but I have several of her other books. I had to laugh at her parking spell. My husband and I just yell out "witches parking!" as we approach a parking lot. Works just as well.
Good presentation of the book and Dororthy.
