You are Intuitive, I am Intuitive
As cool as we think it is to see psychics at work talking with dead people or seeing into the future, the truth is even a one-celled bacteria is wired to read the surrounding environment through energy. And that is all that higher sense perception or intuition is. Once you realize that we all have intuition (which includes psychic, clairvoyance, clairaudience and clairsentience skills), you can begin to tune into it and learn the art of interpreting the information that comes in. That is when one becomes a true artist or master of intuition.

Here they are: The Top 10 Ways to Increase Your Intuition
1. Learn muscle testing. You can check your intuitive hunches with yes/no questions. See the links and resource list below for ideas where to start.2. Pay attention to what catches your eye or ear. Don't worry about what it means, just notice. This is also called Developing The Witness Observer.
3. Ask questions. What's really going on here? What do I need to know? What's the best course of action for me? Then be open for an answer in unexpected ways.
4. Meditate. It quiets the mind and increases your vibration, both necessary for increased intuition.
5. Edit your editor. Most intuitive hunches get edited out before we let them come fully into our minds. Or an intuitive thought comes in and we can immediately tell ourselves we're wrong. Counter those thoughts with, "What if I'm right? What would I do with this information?"
6. Learn the energy language of emotions. Check out this post to get started.
7. Listen to your body. A tightening or pulling away is an indicator of things not being right or a "no", while expansion and relaxation is a "thumbs up."
8. Honor your way of perceiving. If someone else has a different sense about something, know that everyone has a unique perception signature.
9. Ask a question about something before going to sleep. Pay attention to the first thought in your head right after waking up.
10. Pay attention to your dreams. Ask questions to get the meaning and let the answers come in their own time.
11. (I couldn't keep it to just 10!) Use divination tools. There's lots out there from Runes to Angel Cards to Alchemy Stones. They're fun and provide lots of info.

Getting intuitive or psychic info when we're not ready at a personal level is very tough. The challenge is to still have your abilities (because they access your joy) and not see what's not appropriate for YOU. One way is to ask your guides to "filter" for you.

I shut down my psychic abilities many years ago when I "saw" the brutal murder of a man's 7 year old son. The father confirmed what I saw and they found the body, but what I saw hurt me so deeply that I didn't want to be that open any more.

I was always told that I was "sensitive" (which I am) and have experienced some powerful psychic episodes, when I choose to pay attention or more correctly, when I choose to listen to myself! I love your lens and blog. I will be visiting often. Thanks for all the little reminders.

Hi Turbobodhi,
I have heard of this problem. Let me take a look...It looks like your energy body flips backward (orienting to the past) which makes yes become no, energy meridians flow reversed, etc. To correct bring all your energy that's in the past (behind you) into the present (your body) and tell your energy body (like your physical body but an energetic one) to orient forward (toward the future). Give your energy body a chance to shift before checking your intuition. I highly recommend learning muscle testing to double check your intuition. There are some fairly easy methods you can learn in a short amount of time. Check out my lens on muscle testing for several different methods.
You look naturally intuitive so don't give up! Let me know how you do.

I have been working on my intuition skills for some time, and am consistently BACKWARDS or incorrect. I'm getting disheartened! I mediate often, and some days are better than others. Today I was playing psi games at the institute for noetic science website - the game asks you to intuit where something is on the screen. I ask my intuition to tell me what quadrant the object is in. I hear "bottom - left." I choose bottom -left, but the answer is "upper - right" (intuition answers opposite).
The second time I try, I again hear "bottom - left". This time, knowing that I am "backwards" I choose "upper -right" and I am WRONG again - the answer is "bottom - left" (intuition is CORRECT, but compensating for opposite inclination, I am again WRONG).
Help! Am I trying to hard? Is my wiring backwards? Has anyone ever heard of this? It's been consistent like this - for years.
