Disney movies have made an everlasting impression in most of our lives. Everyone has seen at least a few of them and most people love them. Who wouldn't with their enchanting list of characters, memorable stories, and not to mention amazing animation.

For me it would be almost impossible to pick just one favorite Disney character or movie. But I will say the movies I adore the most are those that intail acaptivating love story. The princess movies all cover this but I have to say I also really love the other movies like The Lion King , Lady & The Tramp and Pocahontas.

The best Disney movies of all times are those that teach us a lesson, have great meaning, or leave a lasting impression in our heart. Well the truth is most Disney movies do that. This must be the reason we appreciate them so much. The can teach our kids about friendship, compassion, love and even greif all while entertaining them at the same time. Wow!

Snow White

Snow White was the first animated feature film every produced. I remember watching Snow White as a little girl and still today it is one of my daughters favorite movies. It has so many unique characters for you to fall in love with. And obviously we did considering it was the highest grossing film of it's time, earning more than 8 million dollars on it's first release, I think Disney animation had a great beginning.

But lets get to the best part, the love story. The evil queen gives Snow White that tainted apple and she falls under a deep sleep. The most intense part of the movie. We all know the apple is poisoned and watch her bite down on it. As she said "Some Day My Prince Will Come", he did, he came to save her with a kiss. Love's First Kiss.

Snow White Fun

Rename the Seven Dwarfs
So it is time to have a little fun. When the Snow White movie was made there were over 50 other suggestions on what to name the dwarfs. Some of them include Silly, Awful, Sniffy, Dizzy, Cranky and Scrappy.
So what would you name the seven dwarfs?

Aladdin

I have to say in my opinion Aladdin is one of the best animated love stories of all times. It was the most successful film of 1992 and grossed a little over 500 million dollars. It won many awards including two Academy Awards, Best Music, Original Score and Best Music, Original Song for "A Whole New World". Not to mention Golden Globe Awards, Grammy Awards, and even and MTV movie award. It is followed by The Return of Jafar (1994) and Aladdin and the King of Thieves (1996), and an animated television series, Aladdin, set between the two sequels.

The Little Mermaid

This movie is also one of my all time favorites. A young girl who will do anything to be with her charming prince, an underwater adventure filled with beautiful scenes and lively music. During it's initial release the movie grossed almost 100 million dollars. It also marked the start of the era known as the Disney Renaissance. It received many awards, most of them due to it's original soundtrack music.

This story not only captures a mermaid girls love for a prince but the curiosity of becoming something she is forbidden to be. A girl longing for independence and love and to start her own life, out of the water. A mermaid who will give up anything, including her voice to be with her prince charming.

Lion King

Lion King I have to say is one of the most heart warming family movies I have ever seen. Released in 1994 believe it or not it was influenced by William Shakespeare's Hamlet. This movie grossed almost 800 million dollars and it gained two Academy Awards. It still holds the record of highest grossing traditionally animated film in history. Following it are The Lion King II: Simba's Pride; and a part prequel-part parallel, The Lion King 1½.
The love scene in this movie with the accompanying soundtrack song Can You Feel The Love Tonight, almost brings a tear to my eye it is so sweet and heart warming. This is for sure my favorite song on the sound track.

Pocahontas

This was one of Walt Disney's later movies not produced until 1994 and released June 1995. This was the first Disney film to be done on a real historical figure. It is based around a Native girl Pocahontas and one of the first English settlers that arrived at the Virginia company John Smith.
I personally love this movie and all the songs in it also. It is a great film about nature and how everything is a live. I love to think that everything has it's own spirit. And it is a beautiful love story again about two totally different dynamic characters who end up falling in love.

Lady & The Tramp

Lady and the Tramp was a cute love story not based on humans but dogs. It is a 1955 Walt Disney animated feature. I remember watching this frequently as a child. And of coarse both of my daughters have now seen and fell in love with this movie too.
These two dogs Lady who was a Cocker Spaniel living with an upper class family and then Tramp who was a stray mutt off the streets, they fall for each other. A very unlikely couple and a very moving story.

Beauty and the Beast

The 1991 film Beauty and the Beast was the only full-length animated feature film to ever be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture. This is one of those films I think our kids need to see. It shows how people are not always what they seem. I find such joy in the humorous characters in this movie. The love story here proves that you can fall in love with someone no matter what they look like. It also gives a lesson of how people can change each other.
I think this is one of the most popular love stories of all time. It starts out a little scary and with the beast as sort of the bad guy. But over time he becomes a very lovable character. Once Belle shows him her affection, he starts showing a side he thought he had lost forever.

Cinderella

Cinderella was a 1950 Disney animated Classic. This love story has shown us that we can all have hope even in times when we feel that we have nothing. Like a girl with very unfortunate circumstances, like an evil step mother and two rude, and cruel step sisters. But this girl ends up very lucky to be blessed by a fairy god mother. It is such a remarkable story.
The first story about Cinderella originated around 1st century BC . It has much changed but still the same in many ways. We all know this story.
