All Squidoo, All The Time :: My Squidoo Love Letter

My Dearest Squidoo,

You've brought so much joy to my life I couldn't wait a single minute more to tell you how I feel. I love you, Squidoo! Others think I'm bold, but they don't know you like I do.

I first heard of you as a whispered name on a fluttering email. They asked if I wanted to meet you.

No, I couldn't.

They suggested an innocent stroll, no commitment, just friends.

Is Squidoo like the others? My heart can't take any more empty promises.

Squidoo is different, they said.

I arrived early. One lunch. No dinner. No phone numbers.  

You strutted in and immediately scooped me up in your strong tentacles. With an all-knowing eye, you admired my knowledge. "Share what you know", you begged, adding I was too good for the others. You promised the world.

Strolling never hurt anyone.

Oh the wondrous places to go, people to meet and things to do when I'm with you! Your tentacles caressed my cheek, rubbed my back and massaged away carpal tunnel. 

My happiness was all you wanted. Our public announcement could wait until I was ready. Time swam past the lunch hour, and I suddenly couldn't bear the thought of being separated from you.

Let's have dinner. I drove you to that all-night cafe, where we snuggled in the corner booth.

What fun we had! Hand-in-tentacle, we found friends and adventures. You not only promised the world, you delivered it. Everything I wanted to know stretched farther than our three eyes could see. "Write more. Publish it for the world," you urged me.

I wrote to my heart's content. I shared with other squids. Even before you honored me as Queen Squid for the Day, you made it so easy to love you -- and easier to tell my friends about us.

Have you meet Squidoo? C'mon, I'll introduce you. Squidoo's everything you wanted, and you'll have fun!

We've been inseparable. In case there's any doubt as to my feelings, I love you with two eyes, four limbs, my entire brain and all my heart (my endearing qualities, you said). I scribble "Mrs. Squidoo" on oceanic stationery, as I brag of your greatness.
