Best Excuses I Heard This Week
Outta the Mouth of Solopreneurs
1. No I can't begin that marketing plan yet it is summer and the kids are home.Okay, didn't you know you had kids when you started your business?
2. I will grow my business after I complete my research.
Exactly what piece of magic do you intend to find in your research that will make growth easier? Please recognize this is simply an excuse to give yourself permission to not take action. Stop getting ready to get ready.
3. A family member has been in the hospital.
I am not being mean spirited here, but do you believe P & G shuts down because the CEO has family in the hospital?
Folks every time you turn your business off to do something else with intentions of starting again later, you make it more difficult to get re-started. This creates unnecessary stress on yourself and your income. It is essential that you keep the momentum going at some level to prevent the peaks and valleys in your business. Make a commitment to yourself to prospect a minimum of 60 minutes each day. Regardless of the other commitments in your life you can find an hour.
