Executives Have To Take Swift Action

You Can't Rely On Wishing
Dreaming is an excellent thing to do. It's a worthwhile concept. In fact, I also believe in manifesting what you want. It is not an end all and cure all.
Too many think they can simply manifest any outcome. Frankly, it is important to have a positive mind set, to plan and set goals. But, nothing will happen on its own.

Think Like A Submarine Captain
Modern day and not like they did in WWII
Dreaming is an excellent thing to do. It's a worthwhile concept. Manifestation works. But, don't rely on it alone.Action must take place. Even for a manifestation to work. Just trying to think things into existance will not do the job. That's the truth of it.
Then again, some do not take any action. Why? The fear of failure. Plus, a ton of people would rather just sit and think. They plan, research and do anything but take action.
Most likely no result will occur for these people. But, remember all of this has a good place.
We can blame the digital nature of things for some of this. It can be a great place to spend useless time.
Here is a great example. In WW2 a sub captain had to go slow. He had to take the time to be certain before action. Long hours and days were vital for survival. His sub was a rifle and his torpedo was just a bullet. He had to have all things lined up before he actually fired the torpedo.
It you were in that position, you better act the same way.
Modifying Your Approach In Today's World
Today a torpedo acts a lot differently. It has an internal guidance system.
It makes things a lot better. It allows the captain to take action now and not spend any time dreaming, planning, researching and making calculations. There is very little time for him. He has to act.
The captain must fire quickly and guide the missile afterwards. He faced dire consequences for inaction.
What a contrast. During the second world war, fast action was death. Today slow action is death. What is the reason for this major change? Quick action in WW2 meant a likely miss. After the miss, they knew right where you were and you were pretty defenseless. Not a good situation at all.
Acting like a WW2 captain would prove deadly to today's captain. What has changed? Today, taking the time to think and study the situation is going to expose his ship and crew to the opposition.
Many of today's leaders in business use WW2's techniques. They don't see waiting can be "fatal".
Today's environment is more akin to the modern sub captain's environment. Of course, it will not cost you your life, but it could cost the business's life.
Today, you must act fast. After you have taken action, you can make course corrections. No time to plan.

Real World Example Of Not Acting Fast Enough
I had the opportunity to discuss this with a colleague the other day. She had an employee not taking any forward steps. She complained about too much "getting ready." Nothing was getting done. The employee was waiting for the right moment. Results would "come later."
Her complaint reminded me of a young man sent on a mission to bring home a deer for dinner. He brought back a rabbit instead of a deer. He never saw a deer. But, instead he shot a rabbit.
At least the family get to have dinner and did not go hungry since he did not spend all his time on the computer using Google to find out what a deer is!
Far too many people spend entirely too much time trying to get the deer and go hungry in doing so.
