Bent-Knee Hip Raise

Bent-Knee Hip RaiseThis exercise is perfect for getting six pack abs because it requires you to stay absolutely focused as you perform it. Its almost like the vertical leg lift, but slightly different.

Let's get started on this exercise:

1. Lay flat on the floor with your arms at your sides.

2. Bend your knees and lift your feet off the floor.

3. Now, using your lower abs, bring your knees in towards your chest. Continue the movement until you raise your hips off the floor by rolling your pelvis backwards. Remember to breath out when you do this part of the exercise.

4. Squeeze your abs at the top of the movement for a second, and go back to the starting position.

5. Repeat the exercise movement for 10 to 12 reps.

The steps to this exercise are:

1. Lay flat on the floor on your back with your arms extended straight back behind your head. Your legs should be straight out too.

2. As you exhale, bent at the waist while at the same time raising your legs and arms to meet in a type of jackknife position.

3. When you inhale, lower your arms and legs back to the starting position and do this movement for 8 to 12 reps.
