Exercises For Golf - Total Body

The exercises for golf should have a focus on your entire body. Think about your swing, it encompasses your entire body, so your workout should be no different.
Every part needs to be strong because each section is equally important.

The great thing is you can switch up your total body workout, you can break it down into days and focus on strength or you can split it up into different days, where one day is upper body, the next is lower body, etc.

Your exercises should focus on all of the major muscle groups including the chest, back, arms, shoulders, and legs.

Exercises For Golf - Cardio

Cardio or endurance/stamina training may not seem like an important exercise for golf, but it is. If you are playing 18 holes and you are walking the golf course, that combined with playing the game is gonna effect you to some degree.

That's why people are in golf carts, less walking so they can save energy. But if you are trying to get fit, walking instead of riding will help to improve your stamina. Your cardio workout should consist of walking/jogging/running on a treadmill or other cardio equipment.

If you prefer, you can walk a few miles outside, start out with 1 mile and try to work your way up eventually to 5 miles.
