Squats!!! Yes, I said above doing hundreds of squats in one workout was bad. But in order to make huge gains, try doing low-reps (4-8) and heavier weight. This will make your legs more explosive and that is the kind of muscle that is perfect for jumping.

Crunches. Wait a second, how can doing crunches possibly help your vertical leap. Believe it or not, crunches are one of the best exercises to increase vertical jump. You see, when you jump your abs act as stabilizers to balance you. If your abs are weak, then it takes more effort out of your body to balance yourself. With strong abs, you get to worry less about balancing and instead your body gets to put more effort into jumping.
