Carlsberg Jacobsen Vintage No1
While many companies are slashing prices, the Danish brewer has unveiled the world's most expensive beer. Priced at 2008DKK (approx USD$350), the Jacobsen Vintage No. 1 is a limited edition brew for any beer drinkers who still feel like splashing out.The beer is a 10.5% ABV Barley wine and is mostly targeted at up-scale restaurants in Copenhagen, Denmark. Perhaps Carlsberg have hit upon the hard-up financial sector workers who can no longer spend $3000 on a bottle of champagne, but will happily downgrade to a $350 bottle of beer.
What does it taste like?
The beer has flavours of vanilla, smoke, caramel and port from maturing on Swedish or French Cote dór oak casks. The bitterness is soft and intriguing
Samuel Adams Utopias
Vintage No. 1 may be four times as expensive as Samuel Adams/Boston Beer Company's Utopias, the former most expensive beer, but Utopias still holds a Guinness World Record for being the strongest beer at 50 proof.This beer is brewed by the Boston Beer Company, using the brand name of Samuel Adam's Utopias, named after one of the founding fathers of the USA. This comes second in the list of the world's most expensive beer which costs around $100 per bottle (24 oz) or about $67 per pint, sold in copper bottles resembling the copper brewing kettles which are used by brewers for hundreds of years.
Utopias was brewed with a blend of high-quality hops and sold in an ornate copper-plated brew kettle and offers a flavor unlike any other expensive beer or beverage in the world. The sweet flavor is richly highlighted with hints of vanilla, oak and caramel. The expensive beer is non-carbonated and should be served at room temperature.
Production of Utopias was limited to 8,000 bottles.

The recipe of this brew is prepared according to the recipe and brewing method discovered by a team of University of Cambridge archaeologists/Egyptologists in the Queen Nefertiti's Temple of the Sun in Egypt. The brewery found in the corner of the said temple is believed to have been built by King Akhenaton who is King Tutankhamen's father. This is also the place where King Akhenaton queen, Nefertiti worshiped.The archaeologists sought expert advice from Scottish and Newcastle Breweries, Edinburgh and the beer is brewed in the Cambridge laboratory, costing around $52 per bottle. The production is also limited and the edition is also numbered.

Almore 62 Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky
The expensive scotch was one of only twelve bottles produced in 1943 from four single malts dating from 1868, 1876, 1926 and 1939. Each was labeled with its own unique name, this one being called Matheson after the Dalmore Estate's owner, Alexander Matheson. It was purchased at the Pennyhill Park Hotel in Surrey, where the buyer reportedly shared it with five of his friends. It has been speculated that the buyer and his friends are the only people to have actually enjoyed a bottle of the expensive vintage. Macallan 1926
The most recent expensive scotch purchase happened at Christie's in New York, where a bottle of 1926 Macallan Scotch, bottled in 1986 and rebottled in 2002, was auctioned for $54,000.
