Expired Domains Traffic 101

Hmm, cheap doesn't sound right.

What I meant was "Expired domains traffic is low cost". As a matter of fact, most expired domains traffic will be highly targeted, so you'll be getting high quality for low cost.

For about $10/year you can pick up a url with thousands of backlinks and hundreds or even thousands of daily visitors. How's that for a ROI?

The previous owner has put in a lot of time and energy, possibly even money, to build up the site. To get good traffic, a lot of traffic. But for some reason he has abandoned the url (I'll get into the reasons for this later), so why shouldn't you profit from it if he doesn't want it anymore.

Did that seem to good to be true?

Well, it's not. Not really, not if you use your head and perform some necessary research before buying expired domains traffic.

If you buy a url that has been tagged as a spam site, you just threw your money out of the window. The major search engines like Google and Yahoo will have banned the url from the search engine rankings. No search engine rankings, no expired domains traffic.

Not only that, but do you really want your good name and reputation connected to a spam site?

Do your research, if it's a spam site, simply move on to the next possible url.

Good question! Seems like a stupid thing to do doesn't it?

If I have a domain name with good traffic, I'd rather pay an extra $10 to keep it long enough to sell it (with or without the website). Some people just don't realise what a cash cow they have.

In most cases people just move on. They either lose interest in the website or start a new project.

In case of businesses, they can go bankrupt, or the project they had used the url for may no longer be operational.

Of course there are other reasons, like procrastination, lack of money or even death.
