With a legacy dating back more than 3,000 years, the trade show is still about the purest form of commercial marketing there is. Conferences remain valuable educational formats for tens of millions each year. Combined, trade shows and conferences are a $100+ billion industry.
So why do so many exhibitors and attendees despise attending shows and conferences?
We believe it's because many organizers are dependent (read: addicted) to "tried and true" (read: boring, ineffectual) event formats and marketing. The good news is that this addiction is not an incurable disease. It can be overcome.
This lens is our attempt at intervention.
