Its tough to justify spending money when you just aren't making any, but advertising plays an important role in any real estate business. When the money just isn't there for expensive television and print advertising, many Realtors turn to the Internet for a low budget, client driving, marketing miracle.
Many agents have found that building and marketing real estate blogs and websites is a great way to bring new clients knocking at your door. It takes a little work and time, but it just might be the best investment you have ever made.
A large amount of agents are also realizing that most buyers and sellers have become quite budget conscious in todays market, making it harder for agents to find listings, since sellers are trying to manage their own sales to avoid commission fees. As a result, you may consider dropping your fees to a lower amount just to get the listing, less is always more than none.
While it is undoubtedly a tough market, there is a lot of money to be made. If you have been considering becoming a real estate agent, then run out and get your real estate license, don't be afraid to rise to the challenge, you may be glad you did.
