Eyebrow tint

Eyebrow tint is in its basics the same as hair colour - it dyes hairs, right? And eyebrows grow just like hair grows, some fall off and new ones grow, so sooner or later the eyebrows will show that they've been tinted. Now, my suggestion to all of you is to choose the colour that will be the least different from your natural colour, that way the difference in some weeks won't be so ugly. The second thing is try to stick to as natural as possible - don't go for a dramatic change from deep black to shiny white blond - I'm sure your skin doesn't match the tones, and you'll end up like a "trick-or-treat" costume. Eyebrow tinting should bring out the best in you, right? Don't exaggerate, change the colour for one or two shades, and nothing more. 

Eyebrow tinting is a job that can easily be done at home. You need a good eyebrow tint, some time and patience. Basically, most eyebrow tints are similar to the ones for eyelashes, they work in a matter of moments, so you must be very careful not to leave them on for too long. I personally use the eyebrow tint that is first in the list below - it works in seconds and leaves a solid dye on the eyebrows and eyelashes. When you're doing your eyebrow tinting at home, you need to BE CAREFUL OF:

1. Don't have any cream or anything else on your eyebrows.
2. Taking the wrong colour - if the change is too dramatic, you won't look very nice.
3. Getting eyebrow dye on your skin - it will leave ugly marks for days.
4. Leaving the eyebrow tint on too long - it will make the eyebrows too dark or too blond, looking utterly unnatural.
5. Getting allergic reactions to the eyebrow dye.

As stated before, when you chose your eyebrow tint, here's how to choose:

1.      Take the eyebrow tint that will the least differ from your natural colour but will still help your eyebrows have a colour more similar to your hair colour.
2.      Don't dye your eyebrows drastically, never go from deep black to blond or white blond to dark black.
3.      Even if your hair is dyed red, NEVER use red eyebrow tint! It's obviously unnatural and you'll end up looking grotesque! For light red, go with dark blond, for dark red go with brown - two shades max difference. Your eyebrows can be red only if you're a natural red-head.
4.      If your hair is fair (light blonde to golden), your eyebrows should match with one or two shades darker eyebrow tint.
5.      If your hair is dark (brown or black), your eyebrows should match best with one or two shades lighter eyebrow dye.

If you're still not quite satisfied with your eyebrow dye, you can always use an eyebrow pencil and eyebrow powder on top. My suggestion is to use them anyway but in small quantities - skip this section only if you have naturally very bushy eyebrows or very thick eyebrows, then there's nothing to mend. Otherwise, there are probably couple of missing eyebrows or no eyebrows even after you used eyebrow tint which you can easily disguise with just little eyebrow pencil and eyebrow powder each morning. It's the same as with your eye shadow, apply just where the eyebrows are missing and off you go!

The next thing you can do if you don't want a semi permanent eyebrow (meaning eyebrow tint as described above) is use eyebrow gel every day. I tint my eyebrows but I still use coloured (tinted) eyebrow gel every morning - if nothing else, it will fix eyebrows to stand neatly through the whole day. Also mind, that tinted eyebrow gel leaves colour on your eyebrows, so don't exaggerate with applying too much - it will stiffen the brow and make them look like false eyebrows.
