Eye Exercises To Restore Vision
How To Improve Eyesight
With Natural, Non-invasive Methods
Here's the deal... Most people live their everyday lives dealing with the annoyances and irritation that comes with poor eyesight. Hundreds of thousands of people wear some form of visual correction to help them deal with their bad eyesight and poor eye health. There are many roles that are played in the lack of visual acuity. Did you know, for example, that anyone who has poor eyesight, that isn't due to optical accidents to the eye (i.e. fork stabbed into the eye, too much pepper spray introduced into the eye due to excessive smuggling, etc.), has trained their eyesight to be poor? Also, did you know that there are ways to revert your eyesight back to its natural state allowing it to be fully functional? This is all true. The idea for eye exercises was first introduced by an optician in 1891 by the name of Dr. W.H. Bates. His theories about exercising the eyeball were tested and no conclusive evidence was made because some of his exercises were proven to have been more-or-less anecdotal. This is due, in part, because of the lack of understanding of how the eye actually works. He had no full anatomical idea of how the eyeball worked and didn't fully know how or why the eyeball's physical attributes changed with visual changes. As time passed, optical technology did as well, giving optometrists and opthamologists a better understanding of the human eye. This also greatly enhanced the ability to change and update, so-to-say, the optical exercise theory held by Dr. Bates in the late 19th century. These exercises have since been honed and focused on visual impairment patients as well as used for preventative (visual) maintenance. The strides made in this medical field have helped thousands and thousands recover from their myopia, hyperopia, astigmatisms, and the like. There are two subjects that need to be addressed in this page which pertains to the aforementioned visual problems. There are basically two types of therapies one could use, myopial retroversion therapy via progressive lenses, and eye exercise therapy that can be performed daily.
Read more under the video module.
Progressive Lens Therapy
For Myopial Retroversion

Myopial Retroversion is just a fancy way of saying that your myopia (nearsightedness) is being reversed back to the 20/20 state. There is a very simple and inexpensive way to do this. The first step in the process is going to the pharmacy and checking out some reading glasses (also known as plus lenses). You probably need to bring some reading material with you to see where you need or want to start. If you wear glasses because you are nearsighted, your prescription is what is called a negative prescription. Mine, for example, is a -5.25 and -4.00. Yours could be better or worse. Plus lenses or progressive lenses, offer you the ability to work out your eyes to reverse the myopia. When you are picking them out, you will probably see a variety of styles and strengths. You want to choose the best strength for your eyes. A good place to start is a +1.5 if you aren't completely sure.
Once you find those special pair of specs, you will then go home and plant your bottom on the couch or your favorite chair and read your most interesting material (appropriate material worth reading). The goal with this while you are wearning your progressive lenses is to get the words you are reading to be just barely out of focus. After a while, and possibly a headache, the words will start to become clearer. This is your eye's way of working to adjust for the lack of acuity little by little. By using negative lenses all the time, you are training your eyes to be lazy and work less and less hard. This can be harmful. Remember that headache I mentioned earlier? Yeah, that is completely normal and it is your optical muscles finally being put to work! Suck it up and live through the headache. In the long run... it will be worth it. Once your arms have stretched out as far as you can stretch them while reading comfortably, its time to switch out to a higher strength lens. Repeat the above steps until your vision has been corrected, and keep in mind that this isn't a fast fix. It is, however, a natural one and should definitely be considered. This therapy is used by Air Force pilots to retain their eyesight and visual acuity so they may keep their flight status. It is also used by people wanting to become pilots. Don't give up, and you will be happy with your results.
