EyePet - Your New Virtual Pet on the Sony PS3
How Does The New EyePet Video Game Stack Up?
Your Kids Are Going To Love EyePet
Cute and addictive - EyePet is a winner
So just what is EyePet?
EyePet is the eagerly awaited new pS3 video game that enables you and your friends can interact with a very cute animated monkey on your TV screen.
So what do you need?
The video game itself, obviously, which costs around £18-£20 itself, and a Sony Playstation PS3 (which costs a lot more), and a Webcam and Magic Card.
The game plus camera and MagicCard costs around £30.
So what can you do with your cute little monkey friend?
Well, you interact with certain motions in front of the webcam. If you throw an object in front of you, the monkey will rush to investigate. You are coached in a wide range of pet-owning routines - feeding, hair-washing, and completely changing his appearance.
The images on TV mix CGI type animation with the live video feed from the webcam, and the results are incredibly good-looking.
If you buy the Magic Card, the options for game-play are increased dramatically, and these are the real addictive-type activities.
There are ambitious plans within Sony to develop the concept further depending on feedback, so don't think that this is another 3 day wonder.
If you manage to get your hands on the EyePet, your kids are going to love you for ever - the little monkeys.
There are already lots of video games out there vying for your kids' pocket money, so why go for this one?
Simple, really. EyePet is cute, incredibly cute - and great to look at.
Just wish I was young again!
