History of man and dog.
As man Has evolved. Dogs have been there every step of the way.
For centuries, dogs have lived along side of us. Helping us hunt, protecting us while we sleep, or just keeping us warm at night. What you need to remember is that the dog of today are descendants of the wild wolf. Yes even fluffy, your 3 pound Yorkie still has a little wild wolf inside of him or her. And after many years of bringing different breeds together we now have a selection of furry companions from all walks of life.So just like in a wolf pack there is always an alpha. A leader. You have to be the alpha. And lead your dog, train him or her from this point of view. You are in charge! You provide food, shelter and love. When you believe this your dog will see it, feel it, smell it! Then you will be on your way to a long and happy relationship.
Now that you are the alpha. Lets talk about." EZ DOG TRAINING AT HOME".Your dog picks up on everything. All the habits you have your dog will learn. From the time you get out of bed. To the time you go to bed. your dog lives to be apart of your life. So try to stay on a routine especially when teaching something new.
If you want your dog to sit at the front door until you have put his leash on. Then you make them sit every time. Then and only then do you give praise. REMEMBER: Give your command once then correct. Say sit once, then make him sit. Then praise...(cookie,or a really good petting) Good boy,GOOD BOY! Then go out side. Be for you know it your dog will be sitting at your door waiting for you every time he needs to go out.

EZ DOG TRAINING AT HOME QUICK TIP#1
Quick tip #1 is your dog walking you?
When you go for a walk, does it look as if you are hanging on for dear life? Is yourdog pulling so hard that it sounds like he or she can barely breath? Well here is a quick tip for you.
Things you will need;
A.) A slip collar, choker collar or pinch collar. A regular dog collar will work but not as fast. This technique works with in 1 to 3 try's with a choker collar.
B.) One 6 to 10 foot leash.( preferably leather) one that is not going to stretch.
Step 1.) Start out with your dog in the sitting position on your right side. Facing the same direction.
Step 2.) give a quick tug on the leash about 1 foot from the choker. At the same time give the command "HEEL!" then start walking. As long as he stays by your side, pet him and tell him he is a good boy!
Step 3.)As your dog starts to speed up and get in front of you, let him. As he is about to bring the leash tout. Say "HEEL" and do an about face(turn the opposite direction) and stop with your back to your dog.
Your dog will think." Oh we are going that way." And turn around. Be careful. You don"t want to hurt him. Just get his attention back on you. When he returns to you. Make him sit. Praise HIM! Repeat steps 1 though 3. Most dogs learn to heel from this method with in the 3rd try.
If it has been more than 3 or 4 days since your last walk and training session. You may need a refresher. This also works best with little distractions. (an open field deserted street)
*NOTE- When using a slip, pinching, or choker collar please DO NOT let your dog continue to pull on the lead and choke its self. These type of collars are for training and correcting. Prolong choking from these collars can cause damage to your dogs throat.
If you find that your dog begins to pull like an Alaskan Sled dog again STOP, Correct and begin again. Your correction should be quick and swift! At no time should there be constant pressure from your collar applied to your dog.

Dogs That Chew, Puppies That Chew.
Why does my dog chew up everything?
Most puppies chew because there teeth are still growing. To the puppy there teeth feal like they ich. so, to sooth there inching they chew on stuff. What ever is available. could be a chew toy.. you hope, could be an old shoe or in my case it could be our the brand new DINNING ROOM TABLE/B> In any case that's one reason. Another reason could bet that they are bored, lonely, hungry or they feel threatened some how and need to get out of a trapped situation. A dog that is stressed can do amazing damage.
Somethings you can do to avoid losing your favorite pair of shoes to a chewing dog or puppy. Plan ahead, the simplest way to handle a dog that chews is to direct the dog to chew on something that is okay to chew on... A chew toy, my dogs favorite chew toy is the"kong" If you haven't seen a "kong" you can find at any pet store, they come in many sizes, so if you have a "Great Dane" or "Yorkie" they have one for you. What I do is buy two fill them both up with low fat peanut butter then stick then in the freezer over night. then when you go out say to work or to bed for the night put the "Kong" in there create with them. The frozen peanut butter give them and endless treat and the " is a firm yet flexible rubber that they can chew on. they last for ever and keep you and your dog in harmony.
Try it they will love it!
