Sole F80 Treadmill Review

The Sole F80 is considered a mid-price range model yet it has the quality of a treadmill that is priced several hundred dollars more.

Although the F80 may not have a built-in television it does have a built-in speaker system where you can plug in your iPod or MP3 player and work out to your favorite tunes or catch up on your audio books.

As far as workout programs go the F80 has 2 heart rate programs (and includes a wireless chest strap in addition to the hand pulse grips), 6 standard programs and 2 programs that you can create and define.
When you first read that the F80 had only a handful of workout programs you wonder how that may stack up to another treadmill that might have --lets just say 30.

Now you might be thinking that it would be better to have a treadmill with the 30 and at first blush you're right. Having 30 programs sounds great, but then you have to actually think about how many of these you will be using. Like having several hundred television channels to choose from don't you often find that you settle into just a few that become your favorites?
Would it be nice for the F80 to have 30 different programs - sure. Are 30 really necessary? No, not really.

The display is large and easy to read and will show you your speed, your incline, the amount of time you have been working out and the distance that you have virtually traveled, how many calories you have burned ( this is just an estimate) , your pulse and your pace during your full workout. There is also a track feature which is pretty nifty ( did I actually say nifty?)

The F80 motor is a powerful and quiet 3.0 HP Continuous Duty, DC type, which has a limited lifetime warranty.
You'll find that the F80 is sturdy and weighs in at 250 pounds and can accommodate a user weight of 350 pounds or less.

The F80 will go from a speed of from 0.5 to 12 mph and it will incline up to 15% which will help you burn more calories than at a flat and level surface and the different inclines will male you use your muscles a bit differently at each incline level. This gives you a better, more rounded lower body workout.

The running surface is a nice 20" x 60" long. The 60" length is 5 inches longer than previous models and although you may think that 5 inches isn't much of a difference, it is when you are sprinting or running.
