The history of the beautiful Faberge eggs dates back to 1884 when Tsar Alexander III had Carl Faberge create a unique gift for his wife to celebrate Easter. Real Faberge eggs are museum pieces but today's reproductions are hardly expensive.

Now buying Faberge styled jewellery or decorations has been made accessible to everyone and you can show your affection for the woman of your life with a handmade gift in the Faberge jewellery style. Prices can range from about $20 for a tiny very simple egg to several hundred dollars for a larger more complex design.

Creating Faberge jewellery pieces doesn't just require to create egg shaped pendants or ornaments! Although the largest part of Faberge styled items available on the market are supposed to be inspired by Faberge, it is necessary to learn how to differentiate those that are really similar to Faberge's creations from those that are poorly copied and don't provide you with the sensation to own a Faberge piece of artwork.

There are many somptuous Faberge styled pieces of jewellery which, in my opinion, match Faberge's style and are great pieces of artwork that stand out from the crowd.
