Facebook pages allows brands to interact with existing customers and engage new ones. Essentially pages are profiles for brands on Facebook. Facebook pages provide real time news feeds to the walls of their fans. One of the most useful features of Facebook pages is the integration with other apps that can allow you to customize your fans experience.

If you are a Facebook Page administrator, you can choose your username for your pages. A custom username allows you to easily promote your presence on Facebook.

- Create a username that is as close as possible to your public figure or business name (e.g. AshtonKutcher, PizzaHut).
- If you own the rights to a given name, make it your username so that others cannot obtain it.
- Usernames can only contain alphanumeric characters (A-Z, 0-9) or a period (".").
- Choose a username you will be happy with for the long term. Usernames are not transferable.
- Your username must adhere to Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.
Registered Trademarks
In the description field, tell the Facebook representative that you are not reporting an infringing user, but you are a trademark owner, and would like to secure the name of your company as a Facebook Page. The representative should reply to you rather quickly - usually within 24 hours, and assist you with getting this task done. I've done it twice - once for the company I work for, and another time for a registered trademark I own, and Facebook has been nothing but helpful and speedy in both situations.
