Amazing Facebook Prospecting for Unlimited Leads and Easy MLM Sponsoring - Michael Allen Ellis Social Media Coach
Facebook has over 500 million users. Most of your friends and family are on Facebook. Have you tried using Facebook for prospecting and leads for your MLM or network marketing business? If you have you are probably doing it wrong. I know because I did it wrong and almost every network marketer on facebook is doing it wrong. Don't risk being 'Un-friended" by Facebook friends and family members! Try these simple techniques for unlimited leads and easy sponsoring!
Are You Losing Your Facebook Friends?
Don't make the same mistakes I made.
My Facebook friends were so tired of my constant spamming that I was down to FIVE Facebook friends!
If your like me, you have tried everything to spread the word about your network marketing business. Like me you've tried email, blogging, sizzle cards, flyers, Craigslist, Twitter and especially Facebook. I was always getting people messaging me on Facebook about their fantastic new opportunity to make money at home. I figured with so many marketers doing it on Facebook, then it must work. Right? Boy was I wrong!
Facebook isn't about advertising. Yes you can buy Facebook ads and while they do have their place they are not your best way of getting out your message on Facebook. Facebook is about sharing. If you are constantly friending people just to post your opportunity or product, you will not only lose those friends quickly, but you may end up getting your Facebook account banned!
You may think that it is safer and more effective to post in Facebook groups and Facebook Fan Pages. While you CAN post promotional comments and updates with your links on fan pages and group pages, I would advise against it. Have you ever taken a look at most open groups or fan pages on facebook? They are awash in spam. Who actually reads those pages? Posting spammy sales messages on group pages is mostly ineffective and a waste of time.
So you may be asking...Okay! What IS the secret to getting leads and sponsoring on Facebook? Well, alright. Since you asked nicely. Here it is. There is no real secret. More like a list of best practices for network marketers. First don't keep mentioning your network marketing opportunity on your wall. You can put occasional posts like congratulating newly sponsored reps or when you win a cool bonus like a trip. Be sure to take lots of pictures of you having fun on any trips you win. And do be sure to post lots of pictures of you with other people having fun at your company meetings.
Post valuable content on your wall and the wall of your friends as well as on relevent fan pages and group pages like those I mention later in this article. By valuable content I mean links to videos, info-graphics, and articles on topics of general interest to everyone, but that are related to the products or services your company offers. For example you can post to a video about healthy eating and general wellness if your company specializes in health and wellness products.
When finding people to friend, look on fan pages and open groups related to small business, home business or motivational topics. Some pages to look for would include: Entrepreneurs, Health and Wellness, Weight Loss, Robert Kiyosaki, Jim Rohn, Law of Attraction, Dani Johnson, Todd Falcone, etcetera. You get the idea. Now look for comments made by people that seem upbeat, optimistic or business savvy. These are your ideal prospects. Be sure to click LIKE on their comments. Go ahead and send these people a friend request and then send a message introducing yourself and mention how much you liked the comments they made. Be genuine! These should be people who's comments genuinely impressed you on some level. Usually they will agree to be friends.
Now that you are friends you can start a conversation with them. This is most easily done over Facebook Chat. When you see them on Facebook, go ahead and send them a message in chat. Ask them about themselves. What do they do? What do they like about their job or business? What do they dislike about it? Do they like to travel? Are they married? Have kids? What do they do for fun? etc. Be sure to pay attention to what they tell you and use that to find common ground and gain rapport. You want to save their answers they will come in handy. Conveniently Facebook archives all of your chats unless you delete them. After you have established a degree of rapport. Now is the time to invite them to take a look at your business. Just tell them that they strike you as very sharp and hard working, etc and that you are in a business that may be able to help them get more money, vacations, more time, etc. Whatever it was they told you when you were chatting with them. I told you their answers would come in handy! Then just send them a link to your presentation video or webinar and ask them for a contact phone number so you can follow up with them.
When you follow up with them later go ahead and close them as you usually would. Ask them what they liked about the presentation. Let them talk about it and sell themselves. Ask them to tell you more about what they liked. At this point you can either try to close them by signing them up or offer to introduce them to your business partner and do a 3 way call. The beauty of this method is that if you do it right, even if they say no to your offer, they are still going to be your facebook friend. Be sure to continue to post valuable content on both your wall and the walls of these new friends. You can also periodically check back with them to see if there situation has changed.
Well thats about it. Pretty simple huh? While it is pretty simple, it is not easy. This is not a quick fix. It is not a replacement for working your warm market but it is a good way of expanding your warm market and to get more eyes looking at your company presentation.
