Facebook vs. Twitter

Ranked #522 in Internet, #27,613 overall

Twitter and Facebook

Facebook and Twitter are currently the most popular social networks using every day by millions of people around the world.

Twitter then (though perhaps not intended) acts as an "RSS reader" in which users are shown, select exactly what and from whom they want to hear, and it consists mostly of news and professional servers, where people from this area (a teenager can read about Paris Hilton purchases). Few then uses Twitter for messages such as "I just cook a great spaghetti." To this there is Facebook, which is probably more personal of these services and facilitates contacts between friends (chat, reproof events, photo gallery), and were of course very excels. Rapid Increase Of Twitter

I believe, if you have an account on Squidoo that you need a social service Twitter. That it is a system where you can create very short news items of up to 140 characters, and these news items to share with others.

On Twitter, you need no consent of the person whose news items you want to track, you could have been a passive user of the system.
This service is experiencing the biggest boom mainly in the U.S.

This is really rocketing service. In 2007, Twitter was sent to 5,000 messages a day, in the following year it was already 300 000 messages a day. Year 2009 was truly revolutionary at the beginning of the day sent 2.5 million messages, but at the end of the day sent 35 million messages. There was thus a huge increase in the use of Twitter, and up to equal 1,400%.

At present, the daily portion of outgoing messages is even more, imagine that every day is sent using Twitter to 50 million messages, which means that each second the server's managing 600 sent messages.

We can not expect that even this number is not final. In not long time you will able to send a message also to other third parties. According to all the information we can expect that Twitter will continue to develop not only the U.S. market, but also in other destinations.

staciewalker says:

I enjoy both for two totally different reasons.

dlcass says:

I don't like Twitter very much. Facebook is marginally better. I'm still getting the hang of it.

scarlettohairy says:

I prefer Facebook for the Scrabble (and other) games. Twitter is like slogging through a pile of laundry to find what you want sometimes.

bhavesh says:

Frankly, I just don't get twitter nor do I want to do anything with it. It's me for sure, because hundreds of millions of people can't be wrong. Facebook has a more populous appeal however and twitter will become a niche player (relatively, of course) eventually. I do share otooblotto's concern and I don't want to be found out about my squiddo activities by my mother on facebook.

iLoveSquidooSoMuch says:

I like Facebook because of lots of features.

anilsaini says:

Because it has tonnes of features

jamiew23 says:

Facebook all the way, everyone's got it. Twitter is just like a random thought producer. Just lets people know what your up to really where as Facebook has so much more going on

I use both sparingly, but prefer Twitter for most part, though many of my friends and some of my family are on FB so I use it to stay connected.

TheCureForYouthMinistry says:

Twitter. It is easier to touch base with my Tribe through Twitter.

ottoblotto says:

Facebook has become the place where my 79 year old mother goes to spy on what everyone is doing. I no longer post much of anything there.

in4eto says:

Prefer twitter. It brings the news of your interest and people not the gossip. Hate facebook because is a gossip site where everyone knows everything about you even privacy settings

whoisbid says:

I hate facebook and never use it. I do really well just using twitter. I believe it has a potential to be 1 million times more powerful than facebook

Tweets travel faster into the world. Facebook is great for interacting with family and friends. So depends on what you're using it for at a particular time. I'll go for twitter for best biz solution. Facebook equally good for biz

winwell says:

For me it's Twitter, but Facebook is the future. I see people on trains every day just staring at their iPhones checking their FB pages. I think FB is also starting to hit the over 40's and over 50's now. Who knows what will happen in 10 years time :)

SereneSea says:

I am for twitter, somehow I feel it is more friendly.

magicgeniewishlist says:

All social networking sites should be used differently.
Twitter is your megaphone to the world.
If you update something on facebook, tweet it. If you update your squidoo page, tweet it. If you update something on your website, or other blogs, tweet it! Just dont forget to include other non business stuff, or you will use followers.

says:

Twitter, it is easy.
