Facial Mask Recipes to Make Your Skin More Beautiful

Facial mask recipes are a popular skin care product used by women of all ages.

If you have not tried one and had the experience of how wonderful they make your skin feel and look, you really should. Facial masks exfoliate the skin, removing the dead skin cells that from the surface and allowing the new skin to be more visible.

In addition, facial masks stimulate the circulatory system and the oil glands just beneath the surface of the skin. This gives the skin a warm, healthy glow after the mask is washed off and the skin dried.

Exfoliating Facial Mask Recipes

Exfoliating the skin is an essential part of any skin care regimen and recommended by beauty professionals everywhere. Make your own facial mask recipes to exfoliate your skin. It's easy to do and it gives you the opportunity to create a facial mask recipe that includes the ingredients that are perfect for your skin type. You are not confined to what you can buy already made in the store. You can make different facial masks for different results.

Exfoliation is a must in order to not only cleanse the skin but to prepare it for any facial mask recipes you will be applying on the face.

Here's how easy it can be:

Corn flour exfoliant

Ingredients:

2 teaspoons of corn flour
1 egg white

Mix this two and apply on the face. Wash off after 15 minutes or until dry. While washing, use circular motion so that you can exfoliate the skin and help the circulation of its deeper layers. First apply warm and then cold water.

Yogurt based Face Cleanser

Ingredients:

About 7oz of yogurt
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of honey

Mix, apply to face and rinse off using a washcloth.

Exfoliate once or twice a week. When done regularly, this is plenty. Your next step is to know your skin type. Learn about this before moving on to prepare facial mask recipes.

Know Your Skin Type When Choosing a Face Mask

Different types of skin react differently to the ingredients in a face mask. If your skin is oily you will want to use different ingredient or different amounts of an ingredient that you would if your skin is dry.

For example: for dry skin try facial mask recipes that includes yogurt, almonds, honey and wheat germ. If you have oily skin try yogurt, menthol oil, lemon, inactive yeast and a potato. These are all ingredients that are easy to buy, many of which may already be in our pantries.

One more tip:

Use Gentle Motions

When applying your mask do so gently with light circular motions. It is important not to overdo it or scrub too hard as it can damage the skin and cause problems. Facial skin is much more delicate than that on other parts of the body, especially around the eyes. Applying a facial mask should be done on a regular basis, usually once a week to achieve the best results.

Facial Mask Recipes

There are hundreds of facial mask recipes you can make, here are just a few:

If your skin is dry and overworked from your busy life, you might enjoy whipping up a kelp facial mask recipe such as the following:

Aspirin - One of the best facial mask recipes out there

The beauty of facial mask recipes lies in their simplicity. Aspirin face mask recipe is widely used and provides excellent anti-inflammatory effect.

Aspirin Face Mask

* Dissolve 3-4 coated Aspirins in a few drops of mild water.

* Add more water if needed until you get a mix that can be applied on the face.

Liked these facial mask recipes?

Sure, you can start concocting facial mask recipes on your own and it can be fun to do so, but... There are numerous ingredients out there that can be used in preparation of natural recipes for skin care. Most are great, some are OK, and some, when used improperly are downright dangerous and can cause more trouble than you really want to deal with.

You need to inform yourself about these ingredients, what they do and how to use them properly. There are tons of information online but why waste time looking for all that info when there are books that already cover all that!

To avoid getting sidetracked, I personally use The Handcrafter's Gude to Making Spa Quality Skin Care Products to find new great facial mask recipes.
