A Guide On Choosing Facial Mask

In the process, the skin pores are tightened and skin appears smoother. Facial skin masks come in different forms. Each of the different types will serve a different purpose. Here are some information on the uses of these different masks. Use the guide below to help you in selecting the appropriate type of masks for your skin type.

MOISTURING FACIAL MASKS

Moisturizing masks are rich facial masks. They will improve the skin's moisture levels. This means that flakiness, dry patches and even fine lines can be removed or reduced. The masks works like a moisturiser but more intensively and quickly. They are an ideal masks to use after sunbathing or when your skin feels "tight". Obviously, moisturising masks are good choices for dry skin.

Application Method: Smooth the mask on the skin; leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Use a tissue to remove it. Any slight reside left on the skin will continue to do its improvement work.

Mud and clay mask is a good choice if you have oily skin. It will help to absorb excess impurities and grease that is on the skin, close up open pores, remove shininess and clear up blemishes. Using mud mask on oily and acne-prone skin will give definite improvements. Mud masks are sometimes used for the healing properties of mud from certain regions. Patients with psoriaris(skin disorder characterized by thick red scaly patches skin) improve with Dead Sea spas. Sometimes known as wash-off masks, they contain clay products such as kaolin or bentonite, and can dry up the skin. Hence, they are not suitable if you have dry skin.

Application Method: Smooth the mask onto your skin; leave it to dry out for 10 to 15 minutes. Use warm water to wash the mask away. It will rise dirt, dead skin cells and grime away at the same time.

EXFOLIATING FACIAL MASKS

Exfoliating masks can be used on any skin type. They have deep-cleasing actions and will help to keep your skin in great condition. Dead cells build-up will make your skin look dull and lead to problem like blackheads. Even normal skins may suffer from the build-up of dead skin cells. Facial masks that exfoliate as they cleanse will help to alleviate this problem.

Application Methods: Smooth on the exfoliating mask; leave it to dry for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash the mask away with warm water. As you rinse, the tiny abrasive particles will clean away the debris on the skin's surface.

PEEL-OFF FACIAL MASKS

Peel-off masks contain polyvinyl alcohol or vinyl acetate. They may come in liquid or gel form. These are applied and peeled off after 15-30 minutes. Hence, the name peel-off masks. Peel-off masks are not very drying and may be used by any skin types. Peel-off masks is refreshing for areas on the skin by clearing pores that are clogged. It will also help to nourish drier skins.

Application Method: Smooth on the masks; leave it to dry for 10 to 15 minutes. Peel the masks away.
