Homemade skin care - Facial Mask recipes

One of the best things about making your own facial masks is that they are fun to do and, that they tend to be a lot cheaper than store bought ones. You also know exactly what is going into them, and you can make sure they have no nasty chemicals in them.

ENJOY!

What is your skin type?

Normal skin:

type=text

If you have normal skin then it will be easy for you to look after. Normal skin is soft, smooth, supple and has a healthy glow to it. While your skin might be easy to look after it still needs regular care to keep it looking healthy. Practically all it will need to keep it healthy is cleansing and moisturizing. In time, unfortunately, normal skin tends to dry out so make the most of it while you can.

Dry skin

dry

Dry skin consists of mainly delicate, flaky and skin with fine lines. After washing, your face can be left feeling like it is taut and dry. Often washing and rinsing with soap will not make matters any better, in fact it will end up drying out your skin more. Alcohol based skin care products along with long exposure to the sun, wind and air conditioner will take the moisture out of your skin too. Usually what is involved to simply care for dry skin is to cleanse with a gentle cleanser and moisturize regularly. Do you have dry skin?

Oily skin:

type=text

Oily skin often has a shiny look to it and tends to have open pores. Unfortunately oily skin is prone to acne and blackheads, although it doesn't wrinkle as badly as dry skin does. A deep, gentle and thorough cleansing is excellent for oily skin. On another helpful note, a mild and astringent toner will be useful for your face.
