Facing the Lens Photography

This lens is about photography in general, as well as my photography business, Facing the Lens, which is based in Birmingham, Alabama. I sell macro and fine art photography. Facing the Lens is a labor of love, dedication, and hard work. I am passionate about finding the beauty in everyday life: a lingering dewdrop on a petal, the rusted hinge in a forgotten door%u2026these are the moments I want to transform into timeless art. My work is ethereal and dreamlike and evokes feelings of nostalgia, memories of the past, and the dreams of the future.

A few words about photography.

Dahlia MacroI have loved photography for as long as I can remember. I think much of learning photography is trial and error. Put your camera on manual and experiment, experiment, experiment! Read a few good books (a few of which are listed below) to give you some good background on what each setting on your camera does, and you're set! Want to sell your photography online? Experiment with different printing companies, different venues, and different software to get the results you wish. Everyone is different and no one will have the same process.
